Access control
File system access rights
In Buru SFTP Server, access rights for each user can be set at the virtual directory level, making it easy to quickly set up full access or read-only sections of the mapped file system.
Furthermore, the server accesses files on the underlying file system using either Windows user assigned to the file server user using impersonation, or, when impersonation is not set, using the Windows service user. Such a user is subject to Windows Access Control List (ACL), which can be used to further fine-tune access permissions.
Per-user protocol restrictions
By default, SFTP protocol is enabled for all file server users. FTP protocol can be enabled or disabled for each individual user.
